As I wrote to a friend, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is both crafty and slimy. She’s about becoming a national star, she’s using us constituents to get there.
In her latest crafty and slimy move, she tweets from her campaign Twitter account @laurenboebert. Because on this account, she can block us constituents who disagree. Plus this is the account that lines her purse with $$, because it has so many followers.
But she rarely tweets from her official Twitter account, @RepBoebert. That’s because it’s against House rules to block anyone from communicating with them on this account.
Summary:
She tweets from her “personal” account because that’s where her following is. And where she can block baby, block. But she rarely tweets from her official account, because she can’t block anyone there. And her following pales in comparison.
So essentially, Lauren Boebert the person is not the same as Lauren Boebert the Congresswoman. It’s bullshit, I know.
So I called Congresswoman Boebert’s office to ask about this bullshit. Here’s the recorded call:
Paige did follow through, sent the link to the “rules”. Here is is:
2020_116th Members’ Congresional Handbook_11-10
Flip to page 31. I can’t see where that’s support for what Paige told me. I’m going to call her back and have her walk me through how page 312 lines up and is support for the rule.

Wow… she’s pretty standoffish, talking to constituents. But at least there was a person who answered, so there’s that.
The standard we’re going to see for our district is barely tolerant blowing off.

She’s going to do all she can to avoid us. No surprise there.
