Renee made the best pizza yesterday. All vegan. It kicked ass.
Here’s what she used for cheese and the sauce. Small companies. Eating this way, we’re supporting small business here in the USA. What do you want to bet they’re getting their ingredients from other small businesses or farmers?
Eating the way we do we’re telling the world we want to have the freedom to buy food from as many sources as possible. We’re telling the world we don’t want our food to be taken over by a handful of companies. We’re telling the world we care about what goes in our food and who makes it. Eating this way we’re helping ourselves, our neighbors, and the planet.
She made the crust using whole wheat flower and yeast. She sautéed the vegetables using water, no oil. Renee always sautés with water, she never uses oil. She said making it was easy, didn’t take long. And there’s another pizza in the fridge.
The sauce has sugar in it. And the cheese substitute has canola oil. Oh well. I’ve quit eating Fritos and I’m going to quit eating Justin’s cookies. So I figure if I get a little sugar and canola oil every now and then when she makes pizza, I’m fine.
