Here’s an example for lunch. Afterwards I’m at 61%.
We’re eating a lot of beans. True that. But the beans are delicious, thanks to Renee.
Speaking of…
Last week in Dallas and this past weekend for the boy’s birthday I went off track some; had a few slices of pizza, some cake, some ice-cream. I’m human. 56 years of eating habits aren’t easy to change. And I thought I needed some comfort food.
Did I miss it? I thought I did.
I’m happy to report that our food tastes better than junk food or comfort food. Mixing fruit together tastes just as good to me as ice-cream or cake, it satisfies my sweet jones. And beans taste just as good as pizza. I learned it’s more comforting to be healthy. Because guess what? After I ate the crap the “problem” I ate at was still there. All that was different was I felt worse. Shitty food is an addiction, no different than drugs or booze. Live and learn.
It’s taken a year to get to here, but I’m here now.
