Temple Grandin comes to Carbondale

I had the privilege of being in greatness tonight. The great Temple Grandin was in Carbondale.

Temple is working with our friends Rose and Brook Levan at Sustainable Settings. Then this evening Temple gave a presentation on Autism.

When I watched Temple’s movie, it changed things for me. Her movie showed us our son’s disability was an opportunity.

When we learned about our son, I went through a few years of blaming myself – I thought all the drugs and alcohol I did had something to do with it.

Today, I wouldn’t change a thing. Last year my boy followed me down Cataract, a Black run at the Beav. He’s wonderful, I thank God for bringing him to us.
