Renee made Veggie Burgers from the book. They were great.
For desert I MADE, that’s right, I MADE, Coconut Shakes. We bought Young Coconuts. I used the Coco-Jack to open them and scrape out the meat. Put the meat and the water in the Vitamix for 2 minutes. Let it chill overnight. Then I poured in a little maple syrup. It was great.
We made 14 burgers out of the recipe. What would 14 beef burgers cost? Renee says the meat we used to buy was $7 bucks a pound. So tonight’s meal would have cost, what, $20 bucks?
Instead, it cost us about $11 including the shakes. But we still have 10 burgers left and probably 2 shakes. That’s low cost, man.
