NY Times: For Tech Titans, Sharing Has Its Limits
So it turns out that if you want to work on a tech titan’s house, you have to promise not to tell anyone. Not just promise, you have to sign something, that says you won’t say a word to anyone about what you’re doing. Hmm.
So the tech giants know our every move — they do. But they don’t want anyone knowing what they’re up to. I think it’d be fun, if someone stood outside of Facebook or Google, and asked to go home with one of the executives and film their every move. Then post it. Turnabout is fair play, right? Not according to tech titans it isn’t.
I’ve always wanted to ask one of the tech giants if I could look inside their computer, the same way they’re looking inside mine. Or ask them if I could follow them around all day for a few days, post where they go and what they do. Whadda ya wanna bet what their answer would be?
