theGuardian: Republican in Montana yoga pants obscenity uproar explains: it was a joke

So this is what we pay our politicians to do, expand decency laws? I thought personal responsibility was a tenet of the Republican Party?

Montana House Representative David Moore (R), wasted time and money writing a bill that would have essentially made it illegal to wear yoga pants, because the pants could have outlined a woman’s camel toe, or a man’s junk.

Jeezus.

There’s terrorists trying to get us. Our planet is under siege. Education is broken, the money is staying at the top. There’s way bigger fish to fry. But no. Representative David Moore has nothing better to do it seems, then worry about if parts of a person’s body are being exposed.

Some folks in Missoula took to the streets to protest, some of them wearing nothing but their birthday suit. Good for them.
